Consultant – Nicole brings over 20 years of sustainability expertise and scientific training to advise you. She is creative and flexible with a knack for forging paths to success when things are feeling stuck or inefficient. She sees the big picture and then hones in on the little details.
Her career began as a guide and educator to small businesses and schools to reduce waste and set up recycling and composting. Later, as a management consultant to USEPA and other state and federal agencies, she continued to provide public outreach and develop effective environmental management systems for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water use, and solid waste in offices and facilities. Nicole then spent 8 years developing innovative new programs for a local climate action nonprofit to support residents and businesses in reducing their carbon footprint through food waste reduction, choosing the healthiest foods for people and planet, and electrifying buildings and vehicles.
Nicole has a master’s in aquatic science and a bachelor’s in biology, as well as a certificate in business strategy. With specific training in ecology, statistics and behavior change, she has a unique perspective and a natural curiosity that leads her to collect information and deeply analyze it. She asks thoughtful questions, thinks about all the possibilities and brings valuable insights that might otherwise be overlooked when problem-solving.
